about

“LET`S GO” feat High Priest of Antipop Consortium is the UFO of Rone´s sophomore album “Tohu Bohu”. It takes the trademark emotional, widerange Rone sound and adds a relentless electro rhythm, vocal samples evoking the heyday of House music, and the irresistible flow of an iconic figure from the leftfield rap scene. The result is an explosive cocktail of elements that lends itself well to the treatment of some
carefully chosen remixers.

On the A-Side, there's those like CLARK (Warp), who get inspired by brightness of the piano to make a nod to the Cocteau Twins. SUPERPOZE cultivates the hip-hop approach by tweaking High Priest's delivery and chopping up the original production with hypnotic keyboard loops and jerky samples. And there is Rone himself, who gives us a summer version decked to conquer the outdoor floors.

On the flipside, ROCKETNUMBERNINE (Four Tet`s partner on Text Records) pushes the basses to the upper level, whilst PRINCIPLES OF GEOMETRY (Tigersushi), leading figures of the Kraut-Wave scene in France pull in guitar riffs and dirty analogue grind. A forward-looking EP of mixes from a talented and eclectic range of producers.
