The next batch of remixes for Rone’s new album "Room With A View" features a mix of old friends and new faces. Ulrich Schnauss, Mathew Jonson and the remix contest winner Glass Musem deliver their on takes on one of the center pieces of the album: Nouveau Monde.
Ulrich Schnauss slows down Nouveau Monde a little, focusing on the intricate melodies and arpeggios of Rone’s original. A pushing, ever progressing whirlwind of a track that encapsulates nothing short of euphoria when it finally comes to its peak.
Next up, Mathew Jonson delivers his trademark warm, analogue house — wrapping around Rone’s psychedelic marimba-esque arpeggios. Maybe the ideal track for 2020, then, where the dance floors are merely imaginary.
The last of the three remixes is by Belgian Duo Glass Museum. Their take is a hybrid of organic drums and trance. Taking the vocal sample as a jump off point or launch pad, their remix takes us higher and higher, into an unknown, new world, a Nouveau Monde.
